Damage Policy

Cruise Damage & Liability Policy

This Cruise Damage & Liability Policy outlines guest responsibilities, reporting requirements, and potential charges related to damage, loss, or misuse of cruise ship property during a voyage. By confirming a cruise reservation through My Red Diamond LLC , you agree to comply with the terms described below.

1. Condition of Cabin & Ship Facilities

Guests are expected to maintain cabins, balconies, and shared ship facilities in reasonable condition. Any pre-existing issues observed upon boarding should be reported immediately to guest services to avoid potential liability.

2. Damage During the Cruise

Any damage occurring during the cruise — including damage to cabin furnishings, balconies, doors, fixtures, or onboard equipment — may result in charges to the guest’s onboard account. Responsibility applies regardless of intent.

3. Accidents & Incident Reporting

Accidents, injuries, lost items, or property damage must be reported promptly to onboard staff. Delayed reporting may affect the ability to investigate or resolve claims.

4. Balcony, Railings & Safety Equipment

Damage to balcony railings, glass panels, safety equipment, or life-saving devices is considered a serious safety violation. Guests may be held fully liable for repair or replacement costs.

5. Assessment of Damage & Charges

Damage assessments are conducted by the cruise line. Charges may include repair costs, replacement value, labor, administrative fees, and loss-of-use charges if areas are rendered unusable. All determinations are final.

6. Stateroom Cleaning & Restoration Fees

Excessive cleaning requirements due to spills, smoking violations, stains, pet-related damage, or strong odors may result in cleaning fees. Charges vary depending on severity and restoration requirements.

7. Loss of Ship Property

Guests are responsible for ship property such as towels, robes, electronics, safety equipment, and furnishings. Missing or damaged items may be charged at full replacement value.

8. Unauthorized Modifications or Misuse

Guests may not modify cabins, tamper with ship systems, or use equipment in an unauthorized manner. Unauthorized actions resulting in damage may lead to charges or removal from the voyage.

9. Negligence & Prohibited Conduct

Damage caused by reckless behavior, intoxication, rule violations, or prohibited activities is not covered by any protection plans. Guests are fully responsible for resulting costs.

10. Medical or Safety-Related Damage

Damage caused during medical emergencies or safety incidents is reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Liability determinations depend on circumstances and cruise line policies.

11. Theft or Intentional Damage

Theft, vandalism, or intentional damage to ship property may result in full financial liability, removal from the cruise, and potential legal action.

12. Billing & Payment Authorization

Damage-related charges may be applied to the onboard account or payment method on file. Charges may appear after the cruise if assessment requires additional review.

13. Disputes & Review Process

Guests may dispute damage charges by submitting a written request with supporting evidence within the timeframe specified by the cruise line. All disputes are reviewed according to supplier policies.

14. Guest Responsibility

The primary guest is responsible for their actions and those of accompanying travelers, including minors. Responsibility continues until the voyage concludes and all accounts are settled.
